Budget-Minded bench vise
I wanted a vise on my secondary workbench, but didn’t want to pony up the cash for another heavy-duty one like on my main workbench. So I built this low-dough bench clamping system to hold oversize boards.

I wanted a vise on my secondary workbench, but didn't want to pony up the cash for another heavy-duty one like on my main workbench. So I built this low-dough bench clamping system to hold oversize boards. After installing T-track near the edge of my bench, I drilled holes through 10" handscrew clamps, where shown, to accommodate 1⁄4 ×2 1⁄2 " T-bolts. The star knobs lock the clamps along the T-track to accommodate different board widths and lengths.
