Turn extra case space into a cord catcher

Those plastic cases that tools come in never seem to fit the tool’s cord once it’s unfurled. However, there seems to be ample “filler” space in the molded top. I take advantage of that space by drilling and cutting out a large slot in the top of the case, as shown. The cord stores easily in-side and stays contained while I close the case.
