Get a handle on driving threaded inserts
Anyone who's tried driving a threaded insert into a workpiece by hand knows the challenge of keeping it perpendicular to the surface. This handy trick makes it simple to do. Just thread a pair of nuts onto an eyebolt, and the bolt into your threaded insert. Snug the nuts against the insert and then each other to lock the eyebolt in place. Slide a length of dowel through the bolt's eye as a handle, and give it a few firm twists to drive the insert straight in.
