Turntable makes it easy to spray finishes
Spraying varnish or paint can be tricky for beginners and old hands alike, particularly if you have too little space to move around the piece as you spray.

Build a turntable to use on top of your workbench or finishing table. First, from 3⁄4 " plywood, cut a piece with a 3' diameter, and screw a 3⁄4 " pipe flange at its center. Near the perimeter, attach four or more swivel plate casters, as shown above. Finally, thread a pipe nipple into the flange and drill a hole in the top of your bench to receive the nipple that serves as a turntable pivot. This handy device allows you to rotate pieces easily after you finish spraying each side.
