Find an inexpensive wet tile saw.
In my modelmaking, I've found a full-size tablesaw to be more tool than the job needs. So I adapted a 7" portable wet tile saw to better and more safely cut small parts.
I replaced the saw's diamond blade with a 71⁄4 " circular saw blade. I also made a zero-clearance MDF tabletop with a fence and miter-gauge slot to make clean, accurate cuts. Four flathead machine screws secure the MDF top to the saw's steel top. I don't use the tilt feature of the table and the blade height is fixed, but it works great.
