Space-saving mitersaw fences
Rather than permanently clutter the benchtops on each side of my mitersaw with fixed fences, I made a pair of short fences, each with a couple of dowels that fit into the dogholes. T-track on the top edge accepts a flip-stop.
To cut short workpieces, I move the fences closer to the saw. For longer boards, they fit anywhere along the row of dogholes. And when I need the benchtop for other tasks, the fences store easily.
