Rather than build a router table as a dedicated stand or cabinet, I made only a router-table top that mounts quickly on the edge of my workbench. By mounting two support arms to the router table, each with a notch matching the benchtop thickness, I can pull the router table out of storage, slide it over the benchtop, and clamp it in place.
