Here's a super-simple way of cutting sandpaper to exact size for sanding blocks and finishing sanders. From 12 " or 34 " plywood, cut a template that matches the dimensions of the sandpaper sheet for each tool. Bevel-cut two adjoining edges at 45o. Those "sharpened" edges allow you to crisply cut the sandpaper by pulling up on it. Label the template with its paired tool and drill a hanging hole.
