Press your drill press into clamping duty

For odd-shaped or long glue-ups—such as attaching a lamp body to its base—a drill press often serves as a fast, convenient, and effective clamp. For parts that fit well, you'll get the necessary pressure, without stressing the press's quill mechanism. If your drill press doesn't have a quill lock, simply raise the table to get the necessary pressure, then lock the table in place.
