Perch plugs in plain sight

For safety's sake, I unplug woodworking machinery when not in use. To make it obvious whether a machine is plugged in, and for added convenience, I slotted a small shelf near each machine's electrical outlet, as shown. A shallow recess keeps the plug from sliding to the floor.
