Always looking for ways to cut clutter and improve convenience, I embedded rare-earth magnets into the edges and ends of my workbench for holding steel rules, small tools, and other ferrous items. This reduces benchtop mess, while keeping frequently used tools at the ready. Drill the holes with a Forstner bit and secure each magnet with a dab of epoxy.
