Moving sheet goods from my truck and through the yard to reach my basement shop walk-in entrance is a chore. Fortunately, this inexpensive helper makes the task easy for one person.

To build one, choose a 4"-dia., 2"-wide caster—it easily rolls through grass and over cracks and thresholds. To the top of the caster, bolt on a short length of wood that leaves a lip of the caster for the sheet to sit on. Secure one end of the sheet to the wood block with a C-clamp, grab and lift the other end, and manageably walk the sheet wherever needed.
