Pipe clamps and cauls makes clamping odd angles easy

Drawing of pipe clams and cauls

While building a corner cabinet for my kitchen, I was left scratching my head trying to figure out how to clamp the odd angles. A set of hooked clamping cauls cut from plywood solved the problem. I cut a notch in one end of each caul to match the angle of the cabinet components, as shown. Pipe clamps with their swivel heads work best for clamping. I made several of these cauls for various angles depending on the project.
