It seemed that whenever we tipped a spray gun to apply finish to a horizontal surface, a drip from the canister would spoil the work. To keep drips in check, wrap a bandanna around the neck of the spray gun. The bandanna absorbs any leaks before they drip, so you can concentrate on laying down smooth, even coats of finish.
