Does polyurethane glue take stain?
In issue 155, page 112, you talked about polyurethane glues. Once the foam dries and you chisel it off, does the glue prevent the wood from absorbing stain?

Good question. To answer it, we edge-glued two boards using polyurethane glue, sanded the joint, and stained the glue-up with two applications of Varathane red oak. Both the seam and the surrounding wood colored identically.
