After a recent move, I had a collection of cheap plastic storage tubs left over. I was about to toss them when I realized they would make great substitute sawhorses. They're easier to use—and store—than rigid foam sheets on the shop floor for cutting sheet goods, and like the foam, they won't harm the blade. They also work well as finishing stands. Glue, paint, and finish scrape off easily. I haven't dragged out my heavy steel and wood sawhorses since I started using the tubs.
