Double your safety precautions when routing small parts. In a 1⁄4"-thick sheet of plywood or MDF, drill a hole slightly larger than your router-bit diameter. Center the bit in the hole, and attach the plywood sheet to your router table with double-faced tape for a near-zero-clearance support. Then clamp parts between the jaws of a handscrew placed flat on the sheet to keep clear of the bit.—from the WOOD® shop
