Description

Stanley's Sweetheart™ 8-piece Socket Chisel Set is based on Stanley's classic 750 Series chisel design, making this collection an instant classic. Socket chisels are less likely to break than tang chisels, but the socket design makes it very easy to replace the stock handle with one you've turned for a custom, comfortable grip. Each was machined in Sheffield, England from high carbon chrome steel for easy sharpening and razor-sharp edge retention over long periods of use. Side bevels are extra narrow for working in tight corners, when precise cuts are critical. Also feature durable hornbeam (also known as ironwood) handles with a large sweet spot for striking accuracy and a comfortable feel. All chisels are 9'' long.

WOOD magazine review

Nice selection of socket chisels

Review Summary

Based on the original Sweetheart chisels from the early 20th century, we found these similar to the Lie-Nielsen chisels in size and shape and with hornbeam socket handles. The Sweethearts, however, have O1-steel blades, so they dull quicker than the Lie-Nielsens. Still, we like their overall performance, broad selection of widths, and the leather storage roll.

8 piece Set

Review Summary

I got the 8 piece set for christmas They are very nice chisels for the money. They look nice, feel nice to hold and most importantly they work well and hold an edge. I would prefer a set of bluespruce tools chisels but I'm not going to be able to afford $900 any time soon.

Feels good working with them

Review Summary

Finally, a great set of chisels that feel good in your hands, not overly expensive, look nice, have a good company to back them up, and come in a leather tool roll to boot! They sharpen easily and stay sharp for a long time.
