Review

I use a great deal of 1/4" plywood for drawer bottoms and cabinet backs in my furniture, but cutting dadoes and grooves can be time-consuming because these sheets typically measure less than 1/4&
quot; thick. So I have to make two passes with my standard tablesaw blade to get the desired fit. But with Forrest’s Special-Width Dado King, I now make those cuts in one pass with amazing precision. Stack the two outer blades of this 8" set together to cut a perfect 3/16"-wide groove. Add the 1/16" chipper for a spot-on 1/4" groove. Or use any combination of the three blades and six magnetic shims to fine-tune a fit. The negative tooth-hook angle prevents grain tear-out in hardwoods, veneered plywood, even melamine. —Matt Seiler, WOOD Magazine
