WOOD magazine review

Precision for all your machine setups

Review Summary

What it does: Performs every alignment we tested on five major power tools, using accessories that come with it. High points: Custom-fits to your tablesaw’s miter slot with three ball-bearing guides below its base. Dial indicator mounts vertically or horizontally. Dial indicator rides up and down on parallel steel bars for precise blade-height measurements.
Comes with a machinist’s square and a gauge rod (the shiny circle shown under the dial-indicator carriage in the photo, opposite page) to quickly calibrate the gauge for setting a 45° bevel angle. Low points: Guide bearings must be removed for use on jointer, planer, and mitersaw, which is a bit of a nuisance. They also must come off for radial-arm saw use unless you buy the optional RS-Aligner accessory ($175). Relatively expensive.
