Accurate, clean, fast cuts in metal

Review Summary

So the main difference between a metal cutting and wood cutting chop saw is that the motor RPM's are slower on a metal cutting band. This brand is distributed from a Co. in England but appears to be made in China, none the less it seems to be well built. The slower rpm's does make a big difference. It cuts much cooler than a carborundum blade metal saw with no sparks or heat which makes for a much more accurate, cleaner cut. As such it makes prep for welding or painting much easier.
The miter scale on this one is just OK. It's not accurate and it can't be adjusted. There's a plastic shield placed just to the left of the handle which supposedly helps to keep metal debris from flying up into your face, but I found it more of a nuisance than anything as it makes it difficult to see your cut line, so I simply removed it. Overall the saw performs well and I'm glad I have it. My carborundum blade chop saw probably won't see much use now that I have this
