WOOD magazine review

Gimmicky features, low price

Review Summary

This saw has adequate power with decent ergonomics and blade changes. But three unique features—a cutline laser guide, an independent scrolling head, and a detachable D-handle that converts the saw into a barrel-grip version—offer limited value for the everyday woodworker. It vibrated more than any other saw, and demonstrated about 1/16" blade deflection in 3/4" stock.

Very good tool with lots of features

Review Summary

This is my favorite jig saw. This saw has a lot of features that are nice to have when the projects requires different needs. It has a lever where to pick out what shape or material you are cutting, like cutting long angle lines, scrolling, metal and other choices. Controlling the scroll cut is done by turning the wheel on top and pushing. Its good for getting small shapes but definitely not as accurate as a scroll saw.
The only thing that I have noticed is that the light will not turn off as long as it is plugged in, but that might be a safety feature. I have not removed the handle for other types of cuts but very easy to do. Again is very cool tool.
