WOOD magazine review

Aggressive, yet with a fine finish

Review Summary

Essentially the second-best sander in the test of 12, this model did everything well except for leaving a few barely noticeable swirls with 220-grit sanding discs. It was the most aggressive model in the test. Its power switch and speed control were not as easy to operate as those on some models. The 6021-21 comes with hook-and-loop as well as pressure-sensitive-adhesive (PSA) pads.

Does its job well

Review Summary

I find this sander powerful and comfortable to use. The dust collection works well, keeping dust in the canister where it belongs. The canister stays on (unlike certain other big name brand units). It has a long cord. I have no complaints on this one.

Great Deal on Re-Conditioned unit

Review Summary

Everything works great, except two complaints. 1) I bought it re-conditioned. Probably because the canister leaked dust, everywhere. It worked perfectly if I taped the joint between canister and dust port. The best fix, found when I bought a small shop vac. The hose fits on the dust port, without clamps and no leakage. 2) In my experience, the handle is so short, my hand will only hold the top of the sander. My old P.C. ROS allowed me to hold on to the neck or top of the sander.
After sanding for a few hours, its nice to be able to shift positions, every once in awhile. Would I buy again? Yes, the positives greatly out weigh the negatives.

GREAT sander!

Review Summary

I can't believe how well this sander works. It gets the job done quickly without vibrating as bad as the other sanders I've used. And the good thing is it does a great job removing milling marks and sanding scratches from rougher grits—again, very quickly—so you get a great wood surface in short time. And nearly all the dust stayed in the canister filter. It doesn't connect very well to a shop vac, but I don't feel like I need it because the filter does such a good job.
And the best part is this sander doesn't cost as much as a lot of others!
