Great Handles, Great Ergonomics

Review Summary

The fixed base 618 is my go-to router for cutting dovetails, and general routing where a plunge feature is not needed. Plenty of power, accepts P.C. style bushings, low squat stance for best control. Great router. One feature I would like to see on all routers (and is currently available on none) is self-centering base plates. The base plates often need to be changed to accomodate different sized bits, or bushing guides.
Each time a change is made, the base needs to be centered with the centering cone and rod provided. A better way: mill tight-fitting base plate screws to create self-centering baseplates. What do you think Dewalt? Overall 5 stars.
