WOOD magazine review

Worm-drive torque in a tablesaw

Review Summary

Despite its compact size (24" wide, 22" deep, 13-1/2" tall), this saw has surprising torque due to its worm-drive gearbox. (On a worm-drive saw, the motor gear and blade gear sit 90° to each other, resulting in greater torque, compared to a typical sidewinder-style saw.) I could not bog it down ripping 2× construction lumber. It also has big cut capacities: 25" rip (with the table extended) and 3-1/2" maximum blade height.
All the included accessories store on the saw’s tubular-steel frame for easy transport and storage.
