Rockwell SoniCrafter Cordless Tool

WOOD magazine rating

This pocket-sized tool more than pulls its weight on the jobsite or your workshop. It is light and compact enough to be super-easy to manage, yet has the power and run time to rival a tool up to twice its size. The Rockwell Cordless Sonicrafter® comes with 28 accessories and is compatible with most accessories from the original Sonicrafter®.
For sawing, sanding, scraping, cutting, rasping and dozens more projects, the Sonicrafter does it all. It's a lightweight multipurpose tool that utilizes Microsonic™ technology to create a high frequency oscillation motion. This unique technology makes the Sonicrafter perfect for sawing, sanding, scraping, cutting, rasping and dozens of other projects.
Rather than using a rotating or reciprocating blade, the Sonicrafter® uses patented Microsonic™ oscillation technology that moves the blade from side to side up to 20,000 times per minute resulting in a safer, more controlled cutting or sanding motion.

WOOD magazine review

Cordless, good dust collection

Review Summary

Lack of mass—it's a thin, long body—adds to the amount of vibration this tool generated. At 6-1/4", it's got the smallest girth at the grip of all the oscillating multi-tools, yet it's among the most comfortable for users with small hands. With a noise level of 93 dB when cutting wood, this was the quietest tool we tested. Its canvas carrying bag leaves lots of room for attachments and accessories and is easy to work from.
And the 1-1/4" dust collection port worked nicely at sucking up dust when we hooked up a shop vacuum to it.
