Interior and Under Cabinet Lighting

Review Summary

If you want to add additional lighting to cabinets or the underside of cabinets, this may be an affordable option. I installed these on cabinets in my home. I also installed these on the underside of my shop cabinets for additional lighting on work areas. I have had only to replace an occasional bulb now and then but no product problems.

The remaining lights still operated with one bulb burned out. Without repeating the manufactures installation instructions, I had no problems installing them because I have some electrical training and experience. If you have no electrical experience, it isn't hard but you may want recruit assistance. They operate with a touch switch and have four settings including off. They do provide additional lighting but on the highest setting all of them combined provide light equal to about a 60 watt bulb. The dimmer switch can be mounted up to six feet away from the power distribution box. This is a great feature because the touch switch can be recessed, if desired. They come in black, white and silver.

Nice little light kits at a nice price

Review Summary

Agreed - this is a very nice little light kit with a great touch-sensitive switch. The only caveat is that you need to let heat escape from the pucks. When you're building a cabinet you need to recess these pucks into a hole in the sub-top and you place the plug unit inside the dead space inside that top. But you also need to mill some escape holes or slots above the pucks, through the top of the cabinet, in order for the heat to escape.

These things do get pretty darned hot. Even so, it's a very unique set which offers some nice performance inside of curio cabinets. I'm about to use another set of them in a curio I'm building presently. I've had nothing but good luck with them and will keep using them as long as they're available!
