The New Laguna 16” Planer is best in class for many reasons. The ShearTecII Cutter Head is a 6 row system; most planers offer only 4 or less. This means the ShearTecII will last longer. 4 sided German carbide knives give a better finish, while deep gullets & thicker knives allow for better removal. Review Summary

Junk!! This planer will not do 2 boards at 1 time. One will stop until other is done. Planer pulls boards crooked and will ride up on edge. Planer will not do 1/4 stock and will gouge both ends. Have contacted C. S. for help but very little. I have ruined many boards and wish I had my old Acura planer back. It out did this one 10 fold. I am trying to sell this junk to buy something else. Minus 10 stars
