Rockwell Handheld Planer

Review Summary

I got this planer to trim doors with and it does that very well. I always hook it up to a vac, so I've never used the dust bag. The ability to shift the chip outlet from the left or right is very useful to me. The blades are double-edged, but I haven't needed to turn them over yet. They appear to be very simple to replace. I haven't used the rabbiting attachment yet, but it is there if I need it. Depth adjustment is real easy, just turn the front knob.
There is a little foot a the rear that automatically drops down so you can set the planer down on a flat surface without messing up the blades even if they are still spinning. That foot also swings back out of the way when you start making a pass with the planer. Pretty good deal for a hundred bucks!
