WOOD magazine review

Basic jig, but no drill bit

Review Summary

This bare-bones jig comes with a hex wrench to adjust the spacing of the guides, but you get no drill bit or driver bit. (Woodstock International, parent company of Steelex, does make optional bits. We tested the drill bit, but it dulled quickly.) The guide holes in the jig are preset at 7/8” on center and are movable up to 3-1/16”. There are center markings to line the guide holes where you would like to drill holes.
This jig is made for 3/4"-thick workpieces, so anything thicker requires repositioning of the jig. You do not get a clamp.
