Description

The Kreg Jig® is the perfect choice for DIY’ers and anyone new to Pocket-Screw Joinery. Whether you’re building your first set of garage storage shelves or making simple repairs around the house, the Kreg Jig® can help you finish the job in less time, and with far less effort than you ever thought possible. Its simple design gives you the confidence to start the project, and with joints as easy as “Drill. Drive. Done!” – you’ll actually want to finish it.

3-Hole Removable Drill Guide
Our patented 3-Hole removable Drill Guide lets you make perfectly placed Pocket-Holes in a wide variety of material widths and thicknesses, without ever having to release the clamp and reposition the workpiece. The Drill Guide can be removed completely from the benchtop base and used for making repairs just about anywhere.

Hardened Steel Core
Drill Guides are subject to direct contact with the drill bit every time a Pocket-Hole is created. The core of every Kreg Jig® features hardened steel which carries an exclusive 100% Lifetime Guarantee. The Kreg Jig®’s core shrouds the bit and supports the workpiece through 100% of the drill-stroke. The end result is minimal bit deflection, reduced tear-out, and a clean, pluggable Pocket-Hole fit for finish work.

Large Clamping Recess
The Large Clamping Recess makes it easy to secure your jig to your workbench using our multi-purpose Face Clamps™ or any common bar clamp or c-clamp.

Sturdy Toggle-Clamp
The Kreg Jig®’s rear-mounted clamp design has been around since the first Kreg Jig®. It’s a proven design offering incredible rigidity and uncompromising workpiece hold-strength. Adjustments are as easy as releasing the lock-nut, and rotating to the correct setting.

Glass-Reinforced Nylon Body
The blue body of the Kreg Jig® is actually made from a heavy-duty glass-reinforced nylon. This unique composite material offers the resiliency and flexibility you need without sacrificing the strength and durability Kreg customers have come to expect.

Superior Angle
Unlike competing jigs with a shallower angle of approach, the Kreg Jig® features an optimized drilling angle specifically designed to increase driving efficiency and minimize the overall size of the Pocket-Hole. The result is a compact Pocket-Hole, less than 1-1/2” in size.

Wood-Chip Relief
Sometimes the simplest things are the easiest to overlook. The Kreg Jig® includes 1 wood-chip relief hole for every Drill Guide hole, designed to keep the drill bit clear of excess wood chips, minimizing drill torque, increasing the longevity of your drill bits, and allowing you to complete a perfect Pocket-Hole in one plunge instead of three!

Kit Includes
Includes everything you need to get started with Kreg Joinery™, including Kreg Jig®, Stepped Drill Bit, 6” Square Driver, Starter Screw Set, Starter Plug Set, SkillBuilder™ DVD, and Quick-Start Guide, all inside a compact and durable carrying case

WOOD magazine review

Clean, precise pocket holes every time

Review Summary

Kreg invented the pocket-hole jig for drills, and this is the company's best version yet. This jig is simple to use to make clean, precise holes in workpiece thicknesses from 1/2" to 1-1/2" using the best, longest-lasting drill bits available. With three drill guides you get three spacing options with each placement of the jig, and center markings for each guide hole make it easy to line up the jig with layout marks.
The hardened drill guides showed no wear during our testing, and neither did the drill bit. The toggle clamp worked well at securing workpieces in the jig, but it takes a few trial-and-error adjustments when changing workpiece thicknesses. For $50 more you can get this jig with lots of accessories in the K4MS Master System.

Kreg Jig

Review Summary

After using powered pocket hole makers the Kreg is quick, accurate and easy to use. If needed it can be clamped to an existing cabinet face for repairs or additions. I was asked to fix some tall chairs for a business. They were in good order but one rail (1 inch x 1 inch) was loose or broken on each of the 4. The only way to get them all tight again was with a pocket.
Without taking the entire chair apart I know of no other tool that would have given the clean precise repair on a standing chair. When something calls for a pocket hole the Kreg is the first unit I look for. It's well made and is a great addition to the ever growing collection.

Practice makes (nearer) perfect.

Review Summary

Performance and ease of use need some work, but in no way reflect poorly on the product. Its compact, easy to understand, easy to set up and the instructions that come with my kit are very easy to understand and follow. Add to that their excellent customer/consumer web service and the plethora of diy tips, tricks and forums available and it's only a matter of time and practice until I can give a five-star review across the board!

Best present ever.

Review Summary

Got this for a present a couple years ago from my son. I was using old school joinery and was hesitant to use this new method, but once I did use it I have abandoned the old ways for the new faster methods. I have never had one of these joints fail. I keep coming up with new ways to use the tool during assembly. Provided your saw is cutting accurate square cuts the assembly process is fast and easy. I recommend this product and advise joining the Kreg user group online.
