Description

Router tables are exceedingly popular and can be found in most shops. The Leigh RTJ400 is designed specifically for router table use, providing fast and accurate routing of through dovetails, box joints and half-blind dovetails, all on your router table. The Leigh RTJ400 Template is precision CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum for perfect joinery every time.

Versatility is a key feature of the Leigh 16"(400mm) RTJ400 Jig. It makes 5 sizes of through dovetails at two different pitches, 3 sizes of single pass half-blind dovetails, and 4 sizes of box joints (finger joints). Perfect joint fit is guaranteed and repeatable with the patented Leigh elliptical guide bushing.

IMPORTANT Router Table Requirements
Router tables are not commonly used with guide bushings because either a bearing or fence is used. My RTJ400

Review Summary

After much thought I purchased the RTJ400. Have not regretted this purchase what so ever. After the initial purchase, I watched the accompanying video. I made my first attempt at through dovetails . I was pleasantly surprise how easy it was to actually produce quality parts with this tool . The quick references guide is right before you and the book gives you all the information you will need to use this tool. I have successfully made through dovetails ,half blind dovetail box joints.
and half pitch dovetails . I am please with the ease it takes to get quality results . A quality tool it is .I recently purchase the ACRTJ accessory kit that allows you to expand your ability to make numerous other joints, a bit pricey but a keeper non the less. If your in the market for a router table jig , give this one a look. I rate this tool a 4 only because The ACRTJ doesn't come with the initial tool.. Tool is well engineered. I do not believe anyone who purchases this tool will be disappointed.
