Solid, straight piece of extruded aluminum

Review Summary

I bought this piece of slotted bar aluminum to replace the surface on my Besiemeyer saw fence . It's very heavy duty and flat with slots that I can attach feather boards,auxiliary fences, or stops to, with t nuts and knobs or screws. It's a little pricey but very good quality. It's anodized so it doesn't leave the black or grey stain on wood, usually associated with non-anodized aluminum.

I cut holes in the bottom of my fence so I could have access to attach this with screws from the rear. Because it is a little thicker than what it replaced I had to drill and tap new holes to mount the measurement indicator a little further to the left. A little work ,but the result is a professional,highly functional fence surface. A very nice upgrade !
