WOOD magazine review

A different cat, but a joy to use

Review Summary

This Australian-made shoulder plane is unique for its wood species, but it's such a joy to use. We were please with the comfortable feel and performance of it, but it did require some up-front work to square the sole to the body. You adjust the blade by tapping a wedge with a light hammer, a tricky task until you get used to it; once you do, it's no more difficult than others. The beefy blade measures 3/16" thick, 1/16" greater than other shoulder planes we tested.
