A Nice, Solid, No-Nonsense Machine

Review Summary

This machine was my first from Grizzly, and I was impressed. It has nicely heavy castings and seems solid in use. The belts are easily de-tensioned to change speed (it works even better with link belts). The built-in lightbulb socket is helpful. My only disappointment was the depth stop. There are two jamb nuts on a threaded rod that are supposed stop against a steel bolt-on "L" bracket, but the bracket is fairly flimsy and flexes a lot. This leads to inconsistent depths.
I had a local metal company weld a beefier one with gussets as a replacement. Now it works like a champ. 10/12 Update - I stopped by the Grizzly Store and looked at the current offerings. This model now comes with an updated depth stop bracket with gussets, so new ones shouldn't have the same issue. Well done!
