Milwaukee® Ice Hardened™ products utilize a proprietary cryogenic hardening process that improves upon traditional heat treat processes. Unlike surface coatings that wear away, cryogenics harden to the core by minimizing soft metal (austenite) and creating more hard metal (martensite). The result is a product that is more consistently hard throughout, resulting in life up to 50% longer than the competition.

Super nice hole saw set

Review Summary

until I bought this hole saw kit I was working with a jumble of different size hole saw blades I had strewn around in my tool chest. When I saw this at HD on their black Friday sale in 2011 I snatched it up at a killer price. i paid under $50.00 for this set. I have used several of the hole saw blades to cut out grommet holes in cabinet and desk tops and these really due stay sharp a long time and it's so very nice to have them all organized in this kit, together in one place.

Review Summary

I purchased this set a couple of years ago and have been very impressed. It beat the cheap set taht I had been using which was very dull after first usage. This is a real nice set of hole saw, the assortment covered most of the hole I make for most of my wood working projects and it did not dull the first time I used it.
