Review Summary

Compact and well-balanced, the DW052K-2 fit easily, with a 3/4" spade bit installed, between floor joists when one of our editors rewired his basement. We're still amazed at the sheer driving power of this tool, as it effortlessly finished setting—from a dead stop—a 3/8 x 4-1/2" lag screw that a corded drill couldn't complete in a 6" landscaping timber. We do wish it had externally replaceable motor brushes, though, like those on the Makita 6980FDWDE.

Review Summary

Have had it for a year now. Plenty of power and the battery life is very good. It drives 3" #10 pan head screws into very old and hard 2X4's with no problems.
