Ok at best

Review Summary

I have over a dozen of these in my clamp arsenal that I purchased from a wholesaler. I got them at about $7.00 a piece so for Ok clamps I think I got a great deal. These are the first generation Irwin Quick Grip clamps so they are a little weeker in clamping force(250lbs vrs 300 Lbs) than their next generation. I normally use them for clamping jigs to my workbench or any other light duty clamping task.
I see they are still selling these older style quick grips on Amazon and they got a pretty good rating there, but the most recent rating was back in 2009. I like my Bessey bar clamps better since they are easier to operate and have 450 Lbs clamping force. So these don't get used much anymore.

Fast gripping power

Review Summary

Of course, I bought these on sale and the price has increased throughout the years. I have been using these for years and based upon your gripping strength, you can increase the power or gripp accordingly by simply squeezing the handle as necessary. They are very simple to use, however, the only downfall is that the pads fall off and wear out over time and no replacements are available. The positive is that they last for years.
