Description

Now you can safely position your hands away from sharp cutting edges while holding your work securely. The adjustable vise-like jaws prevents slippage during cutting and will hold wood stock up to 10" wide and cuts any angle up to 45°. Designed to work with router tables, tablesaws, bandsaws, drill presses, joiners, etc. The Finger Saver features a quick release clamping action with large handles, giving you precise control at all times.

If freehand routing a chamfer or round-over on small parts sets off warning bells inside your head, answer the alarm with The Finger Saver. Clamp any part shorter or narrower than 10" between the jaws of this workholder, and then use the large handles to keep your fingers well clear of the bit. A quick-release mechanism makes resizing for various workpieces fast and easy. The Finger Saver comes with an attached angle guide for mitering, but we saw little value in it, so we removed it.

Haven't used all that much but good tool

I've had one of these stored in my router table for years but to be really honest haven't used it that much since I haven't done a lot of router work on smaller pieces, but when I've needed it, it's been a god send. I suppose you could clamp small pieces in wooden clamp to do the same but with this you are closer to the work and have convenient handles for better control, and it's light weight to boot.

The one thing I can say about the "Finger Saver" it that it makes working on smaller parts a lot safer.It holds the wood well enough that it is safe to work with it.
