Clamp and straight edge

Review Summary

I found, at least for me, that these type clamps were the easiest to use when clamping a solid edge on plywood, since they lay flat on the piece and the clamping doesn't involve any turning of a clamp head which tends to move the edge around before the glue sets. The shallow clamping jaw is just the right size for this function.
I already have two of these from another manufacturer of similar quality, but when I discovered how convenient these were I purchased two more. These are solid and are of good quality. This Co. also sells a good many jigs and accessories for this tool that can be used in conjunction with the t-tracks on each side of the bar. These seem to be much better in quality than the ones I got from Harbor Freight and will probably hold up better under more use. The ones I recently purchased of this ProGrip brand were black in color and not the silver ones as shown in the picture posted here. They probably changed the color. The HF ones are flimsy by comparison and the rod underneath is a softer metal on the HF ones, which tend to make it more difficult to adjust over time, since the rods nick a little every time you clamp them. The HF ones are 1/3 the cost of these and can clamp at slight angles like on the Bora brand ones and have the deeper jaws, but for the application I'm using these for I prefer the shallower jaws on these ProGrip ones.
