Flexcut makes a wide range of carving chisels, big and small. This boxed set of full-sized chisels sports Flexcut's usual grade of steel and comes delivered brutally sharp. They're so sharp that Felxcut includes a free band aid with every set! This ten piece set covers the bases for basic utility carving, with two V-shaped, four U-shaped three graceful arc shaped cutting edges, along with a straight chisel-like cutter.

It's enough to get you started in the world of carving in large sized formats. In use I found that this set was easy to use and the cutting edges stayed very sharp, even when carving into white oak. The handles are very comfortable and the flat butt ends are robust enough to take mallet blows without deforming. There are more expensive sets out there, but the Flexcut tools are a tremendous bang for the buck. They're definitely not cheap tools, but when you don't want to spend a lot of cash to get a nice all-around set this is the one to look at.
