Senco PC1010 Compact Compressor

Review Summary

At first glance, the PC1010 looks like a toy, but this is one serious little compressor. We tested it with a full complement of air-powered tools, from a 15-gauge framing nailer to a 23-gauge pinner, and it had no trouble driving any of those fasteners into poplar, although it couldn’t keep up with a rapid-fire pace.
(The motor fired up to refill the 1-gallon tank after only five brads, and when punching them in quick succession, ran out of air after about 20.) The light weight and compact size makes it perfect for a “honey-do” list of chores you’d put off because you didn’t want to drag your 4-gallon compressor around the house. Out in the shop, the PC1010 has found a semi-permanent home on the corner of our bench; at that height the top-mounted controls are still readily accessible, and so is the tank’s draincock. The operating noise is acceptable, running noticeably quieter than a shop vacuum. This compact compressor sure convinced us that bigger isn’t always better.

Senco PC 1 gallon air compressor

Review Summary

I am using the Senco PC1010N ½-hp air compressor. It is Weighing only 21 lbs. In measuring 14x13x10, this unit is extremely portable and light. The high efficient motor of this air compressor delivers a max pressure of 135 psi, more than enough for the majority of tools! This great air compressor only takes 102 seconds to pump up and 27 seconds to recover.
