Review

A large tank coupled with moderate pump output placed the Bostitch among the leaders in our testing of 10 hand-carry compressors.
As one of the lightest units (37 lbs) with a large centralized handle, it scores high in portability. The cord wraps at the intersection of the pump housing and tank but lacks a cord clip on the plug. The 1-3/4”-diameter tank- and 1-3/8” line-gauges are located side-by-side on the top of the motor housing and have easy-to-read markings. We would prefer the line gauge to be the larger of the two. The Y-adapter-mounted quick-connect ports protrude from the pump housing and are vulnerable to damage. •High Points: Lightweight for easy portability. Gauges well-placed and readable. •Low Points: Slow fill-from-empty and refill times with loud noise (mid-80s dB). Unprotected hose couplers. Owner's manual is extremely brief. •Other Points: Power switch is a large push-pull button located on the side of the motor housing. Automatic quick-connect couplers. ¼”x25’ hose with quick-connect fittings included.
