Mixing two-component wood fillers and epoxy can be a messy proposition. And then there's the cleanup. I solved the slop with reusable mixing blocks—12 " plywood cut into 2×3" squares. I adhere a strip of 2" blue painter's tape on each side, leaving an extra inch to create a tab for easy removal.

Mix the epoxy on the surface of the tape. Cleanup is as simple as peeling the tape off the block. Apply a new strip of tape for the next time you need to mix.
