Create Fine Furniture from Stock Cabinets Woodworking Plan

Tell someone this cabinet started as three unfinished, prebuilt, cabinets from the home center, and the reaction will likely be an astonished "really?" To pull off this nifty trick, you simply sandwich the cabinets between two frames that dress up the sides, then add trim and a top panel. No special skills required.

Overall dimensions: 34 1/2" wide x 15 1/2" deep x 58" high.

Cantilevered Jewelry Box Woodworking Plan

Inspired in part by Frank Lloyd Wright's clever use of architectural cantilevers, this suspended jewelry box utilizes deceptively simple dadoes and rabbets for joinery. To open the drawer, simply push the opposite end through the drawer box.

Overall dimensions: 4" wide x 8" long x 4" high.
