Cut the legs (A) to size, dado and rabbet them, form the decorative V-grooves, and chamfer the bottom ends. Then cut the end rails (B) and side rails (C) to size, dado the end rails, and form an arch in each rail. Screw and glue the end and side rails together to form two frames.

  • Bistro Table Construction

Glue and screw the frames (B/C) into the rabbets and dadoes of the first two legs (A).

  • Bistro Table Construction

Glue and screw the second pair of legs (A) onto the frames (B/C).

  • Bistro Table Construction

Glue and clamp the rail caps (D) to the end rails (B) and side rails (C).

  • Bistro Table Construction

Cut the top side rails (F), center rail (G), top end rails (H), wide slats (I), narrow slats (J), short fillers (K), and long fillers (L) to size. Cut grooves in the top, center, and end rails. Drill an umbrella pole hole in the center rail. Form tenons on the ends of the side and center rails, and wide and narrow slats. Glue the short fillers into the side and center rail grooves and the long fillers into the end rail grooves.

  • Bistro Table Construction

Glue and clamp one wide slat (I) and 14 narrow slats (J) between one top side rail (F) and the center rail (G).

  • Bistro Table Construction

Add the second wide slat (I), remaining 14 narrow slats (J), and second top side rail (F) to the previous assembly.

  • Bistro Table Construction

Complete the top by gluing and clamping the top end rails (H) onto the top side rail (F) and center rail (G) tenons.
