Project plans, cut lists, and notes have a way of cluttering up a workbench, but I still like to keep them close by and on a flat surface. So I built a slide-out plan tray that sandwiches between my tool chests. By mounting the tray with push-to-open drawer slides, a quick bump from a hand or elbow (when hands are full, or gloved and covered with finish) pops the plans into view. —Kelly Churchill, Medford, Ore.
