Mask small holes fast with cotton balls

Here's a frustration-free way to mask holes. Simply insert cotton balls in the holes, tamping the balls in place with a pencil eraser, as shown. (For holes larger than 1" in diameter, you can insert several balls.) After finishing, remove the cotton with a small straight-bladed screwdriver, tweezers, or needle-nose pliers.
