Sometimes, you need to put a clamp where it gets a good grip on the workpiece, but where you can't get a good grip on the clamp handle. Try this simple solution: Drill the clamp handle, pour in a dab of epoxy, and install a 14 " hex head lag screw. After the epoxy cures, tighten the clamp using a wrench. This modification works great for anyone who struggles with limited hand strength, too.
