Vince Ancona

A California native, Vince Ancona became interested in woodworking while employed as a curator and caretaker at The Marston House, a Craftsman-style house museum in San Diego. Pursuing this interest led him to Iowa and a career of nearly 25 years writing for Woodsmith and ShopNotes magazines, where he eventually became the editor of Woodsmith. Since 2020, Vince has split his time between writing for WOOD and creating online woodworking video content for The Woodsmith Store in Clive, Iowa. When he's not woodworking, Vince enjoys spending time with his family, restoring vintage woodworking and metalworking machinery, riding his vintage 3-speed bicycle, and occasionally making videos for his YouTube channel, The Tinkerer's Workshop. Vince resides in West Des Moines, Iowa.
